Yes. You can specify AOI by uploading a kml or zip-compressed shape file.
1. The number of points (vertex) included in the shape file or kml must be 300 or less.
2. When uploading a compressed shape file with the file extension as a zip, it should contain at least the following 2 files - shape (.shp), shape projection (.prj)
If the projection of the shape file is not Geographic (Lat/Lon) or Datum is not WGS84, AOI may not be displayed on the map correctly. If the shape file is zipped, the shape projection (.prj) file must have the correct coordinate system information. If there is no .prj file, the projection is treated as WGS84, and if there is, the information is read and converted to WGS84.
When AOI is specified, the "AOI Size" window appears. You will find “Edit” button on "AOI Size" window. AOI can be modified by clicking this button and dragging vertex or line of AOI. You must click "Done" button when you finish editing of the AOI.
The moment you click on one of the "AOI Draw" items in the search panel to draw a new AOI, the previously drawn AOI will be deleted from the map.
It is possible if the Shape file or kml file contains more than one polygon. When drawing AOI directly using the AOI tool, only one AOI can be set.
Yes. Click the [Save as File] on "AOI Size" window. AOI will be downloaded to your local folder. The format of the file can be selected between kml and shape file.
No. After drawing the AOI, click the [Add to ROIs] button on "AOI Size" window to register it in the Region of Interest (ROI). When searching or entering a new tasking request, an AOI can be specified by selecting it from the ROI list. ROI registration is a service that can be used after signing in.
No. If you do not set search criteria, the default conditions apply. Once you put your own search criteria on "Filter", than those search conditions will be used for next search.
No. Cloud cover refers to the cloud cover over a scene regardless of the AOI.
