Website Terms of Use

SI Imaging Services Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "SIIS")' Website Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the conditions, procedures, and necessary details of the use of the website services provided by SIIS("the Company").

Chapter 1: General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate the conditions of service use, registration requirements, and other necessary matters between the Company and users ("Members").
(1) These Terms take effect when posted on the Company's website and may be revised within the scope of applicable laws and regulations. Revised terms will be announced online, with critical amendments pre-notified.
(2) The Company may change these Terms if there is a valid reason, with any modifications posted promptly.
(3) By agreeing to these Terms, Members consent to periodically visit the website to review any changes. The Company is not responsible for damages arising from users' failure to confirm modifications.
(4) Members not consenting to modified Terms may cancel their membership. Continued service use after 7 days from the effective date of modified Terms is considered consent.

Article 3 (Supplementary Rules)

① These Terms apply along with separate service guidelines provided by the Company ("Service Guide").
② Matters not specified in these Terms are subject to applicable laws and the purposes set forth in the Service Guide.

Article 4 (Definitions)

① The terms below are defined as follows:
  • 1."User": Individual who uses services through membership registration.
  • 2."Usage Agreement": Contract formed between the Company and User for service use.
  • 3."User ID": Combination of letters and numbers selected by the User and granted by the Company.
  • 4."Password": Combination of letters and numbers set by the User to verify identity.
  • 5."Terminal": Computer and modem installed by User to access the Company's services.
  • 6."Termination": Cancellation of the Usage Agreement by either the Company or Member.
② Definitions not specified above follow related laws and Service Guide provisions.

Chapter 2: Formation of Usage Agreement

Article 5 (Formation of Usage Agreement)

(1) The Usage Agreement is established upon the User's agreement to these Terms and the Company's acceptance of the usage application.
(2) Agreement to these Terms is expressed by selecting the "Agree" button when applying for membership.

Article 6 (Service Application)

(1) To join, Users must provide required information (e.g., name, contact details).
(2) Users must use their real name and contact information for service registration. Failure to do so invalidates any claim to rights.
(3) The Company reserves the right to verify real names upon registration.
(4) IDs obtained under false names are deleted, and the user may face legal penalties.
(5) The Company may categorize service access based on User levels, usage times, and frequency.

Article 7 (Protection and Use of Personal Information)

The Company strives to protect User data in compliance with related laws and its Privacy Policy. The Company bears no responsibility for personal information exposed by the User's own actions or on external sites linked from the Company website.

Article 8 (Acceptance and Restrictions of Service Application)

(1) The Company generally accepts service applications on a first-come, first-served basis.
(2) Applications may be rejected if they:
  • Use false names or other persons' identities.
  • Include falsified information.
  • Aim to disrupt social order or public morals.
  • Seek to use the service for unauthorized purposes.
  • Seek to use the service for commercial purposes.
  • Violate other prescribed terms and conditions.
  • Apply as users in competition with this service.
  • Violate other prescribed terms and conditions.
(3) Applications may be deferred if:
  • The Company lacks facilities.
  • The Company encounters technical challenges.
  • Other circumstances attributable to the Company make acceptance difficult.
(4) The Company may restrict applications from minors, subject to Service Guide provisions.

Article 9 (User ID Issuance and Changes)

(1) The Company assigns a User ID per these Terms.
(2) User IDs cannot generally be changed unless the User re-registers.
(3) Naver User IDs may be linked to member IDs operated by SIIS SI Imaging Services | The World-Leading Earth Observation Solutions Provider with the user's consent.
(3) User IDs may be changed at the request of users or the Company in the following cases:
  • 1. When the User ID is registered with the user's phone number or resident registration number, raising privacy concerns
  • 2. When it causes disgust to others or violates public morals
  • 3. When there are other reasonable grounds
(4) User ID and password management is the responsibility of the User, and the Company bears no liability for misuse.
(5) Other matters concerning user personal information management and changes are governed by Service Guide provisions.

Chapter 3: Obligations of Contracting Parties

Article 10 (Company Obligations)

(1) The Company aims to enable service access on the requested start date.
(2) The Company promptly addresses system failures.
(3) Personal data protection is ensured per the Company's Privacy Policy.
(4) The Company processes valid User feedback or complaints promptly. However, if immediate processing is difficult, the Company must notify the user of the reason and processing schedule.

Article 11 (User Obligations)

(1) Members must provide accurate information and immediately update any changes.
(2) Members must comply with the provisions of these Terms and other regulations established by the Company, notices announced by the Company, and related laws, and must not engage in activities that interfere with the Company's business or damage the Company's reputation.
(3) Members must immediately notify the Company through appropriate procedures when contract details such as address, contact information, or email address change.
(4) Except in cases where the Company is responsible under related laws and the 'Privacy Policy', Members are responsible for all consequences arising from poor management or unauthorized use of their assigned ID passwords.
(5) Unauthorized business activity using the Company's services is prohibited. The Company is not responsible for the results of such business activities. Members who cause damage to the Company through such business activities are liable for damages, and the Company may restrict service use and seek compensation through appropriate legal procedures.
(6) Members may not transfer, donate, or provide as collateral their service usage rights or other contractual positions to others without the Company's explicit consent.
(7) Members must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of the Company and third parties.
(8) Members must not engage in the following activities, and if they do, the Company may impose sanctions including service use restrictions and legal measures:
  • Registering false information when applying for membership or changing member information
  • Stealing other users' IDs, passwords, or resident registration numbers
  • Trading user IDs with others
  • Impersonating the Company's management, employees, or associates
  • Without special authorization from the Company, modifying the Company's client programs, hacking the Company's servers, or arbitrarily changing all or part of websites or posted information
  • Acts that harm or deliberately interfere with the service
  • Without the Company's prior consent, copying information obtained through this service for purposes other than service use, or using it for publication, broadcasting, or providing it to third parties
  • Transmitting, posting, emailing, or otherwise distributing to others information, text, graphics, audio, or video content that violates public order and morals
  • Transmitting, posting, emailing, or otherwise distributing to others insulting or personal content that may infringe on others' reputation or privacy
  • Harassing or threatening other users, or continuously causing pain or discomfort to specific users
  • Collecting or storing other users' personal information without the Company's approval
  • Acts objectively determined to be related to crime
  • Acts that violate these Terms and other regulations established by the Company or usage conditions
  • Acts that violate related laws

Chapter 4: Service Use

Article 12 (Service Hours)

(1) Services operate 24/7 unless there are technical issues or system updates.
(2) Temporary outages may occur without notice for emergencies, upgrades, or replacements. The Company may completely discontinue currently provided services for reasons deemed appropriate by the Company, such as replacement with new services.
(3) In cases where normal service provision is impossible due to national emergencies, power outages, service facility failures, or service usage overload, the Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the service. However, in such cases, the Company will notify members of the reason and duration in advance or after the fact.
(4) In cases of service interruption due to reasons beyond the Company's control (disk failures, system downtime, etc. without intentional misconduct or negligence by system administrators), prior notice is impossible, and in cases of system interruption due to intentional misconduct or negligence by others (PC communication companies, telecommunications service providers, etc.), no notice will be given.
(5) The Company may divide services into specific ranges and designate separate available times for each range. However, in such cases, the content will be announced.

Article 13 (User ID Management)

(1) Responsibility for managing User IDs and passwords lies with Members.
(2) The Company may restrict changes to User IDs unless deemed necessary, as it performs all user management tasks based on User IDs.
(3) All responsibility for usage errors or unauthorized use by third parties resulting from User IDs and passwords registered by users lies with the respective users.

Article 14 (Post Management)

The Company may remove, move, or refuse registration of posts or materials that fall under any of the following categories without prior notice:
  • Content that severely insults other members or third parties or damages their reputation
  • Content that distributes or links material violating public order and morals
  • Content encouraging illegal copying or hacking
  • Commercial advertisements for profit
  • Content objectively recognized as being related to crime
  • Content that infringes on the copyrights or other rights of other users or third parties
  • Content that violates posting principles established by the Company or does not match the nature of the bulletin board
  • Other content deemed to violate related laws

Article 15 (Copyrights for Posts)

(1) Users retain copyright of posts within the service, while the Company holds the right to non-commercial use and posting rights within the service.
(2) Members may not commercially use materials posted on the service, such as arbitrarily processing or selling information obtained through the service.
(3) The Company may delete, move, or refuse registration without prior notice if content posted or registered by members within the service is deemed to fall under Article 14.

Article 16 (Information Provision)

(1) The Company may provide information to Members by email or other methods when deemed necessary.
(2) The Company may request additional personal information from members with their consent for service improvement and member-targeted service introduction purposes.

Article 17 (Advertising and Advertiser Relationships)

(1) Members consent to service-related advertising. Part of the service investment foundation that enables the Company to provide services to members comes from revenue through advertising placement.
(2) The Company bears no responsibility for damages incurred from dealings with advertisers. The Company is not responsible for losses and damages that occur when members participate in, communicate with, or conduct transactions with advertisers' promotional activities posted on the service or through this service.

Chapter 5: Termination and Restriction of Service Use

Article 18 (Change and Termination of Membership)

Members may request membership cancellation at any time. Users may request the Company to cancel their member registration (membership withdrawal) at any time, and the Company will immediately proceed with the procedures for canceling the member registration upon receiving such a request.

Article 19 (Restriction of Service Use)

(1) The Company may restrict service for reasons such as:
  • Use of vulgar IDs and nicknames that violate public morals
  • Severely insulting other users or interfering with service use
  • Other cases that interfere with normal service operation
  • When there are corrective requests from related public institutions such as the Information and Communication Ethics Committee
  • When the service has not been used for more than 3 months
  • Using MyHome exclusively as a file repository by uploading only materials without index files
  • Illegal websites including:
    • 1. Uploading commercial software or crack files
    • 2. Posting obscene materials that violate Article 7 of the Information and Communication Ethics Committee's deliberation guidelines
    • 3. Including content aimed at performing anti-national activities
    • 4. Unauthorized copying of copyrighted text or uploading mp3 files to home accounts
(2) According to the above usage restriction regulations, the Company may take measures such as temporary suspension of service use, initialization, or termination of usage contracts for members using the service without separate notice, in accordance with the poor user handling regulations.

Chapter 6: Liability and Miscellaneous

Article 20 (Liability)

The Company assumes no liability for free services except as stated in its Privacy Policy.

Article 21 (Disclaimer)

(1) The Company is not liable for disruptions due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, wars, and other comparable force majeure events.
(2) The Company is not liable for damage caused by telecommunication outages. The Company is exempt from liability when telecommunications service providers discontinue or fail to provide telecommunications services normally, resulting in damage.
(3) The Company is exempt from liability for damages arising from unavoidable reasons such as maintenance, replacement, regular inspection, and construction of service facilities.
(4) The Company is not responsible for service use obstacles or damages caused by members' fault.
(5) The Company is not responsible for damages caused by users' computer errors or when members inadequately provide personal information and email addresses, resulting in damage.
(6) The Company is not responsible for members' failure to obtain expected profits or losses from using the service.
(7) The Company is not responsible for damages caused by materials obtained by members while using the service. The Company is also not responsible for compensating for mental damages that members may suffer from other members while using the service.
(8) The Company is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy, and other content of various information, materials, and facts posted by members on the service.
(9) The Company has no obligation to intervene in disputes that occur between users or between users and third parties through the service, and has no responsibility to compensate for resulting damages.
(10) The Company assumes no liability for any damages related to the use of free services provided to members.

Article 22 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)

(1) Matters not specified in these Terms are governed by the Telecommunications Business Act and other related laws and commercial customs.
(2) For the Company's flat-rate service members and other paid service users, separate terms and policies established by the Company apply.
(3) In case of litigation arising from service use disputes, the court with jurisdiction over the Company's headquarters location shall be the competent court.

(Effective Date) These Terms are effective from October 20, 2022.
